Cuando estoy en llamadas de Zoom, recibo muchos comentarios y preguntas sobre la pintura del Incre\u00edble Hulk que cuelga detr\u00e1s de m\u00ed en mi pared. Es cierto que probablemente no sea la decoraci\u00f3n de oficina de un bufete de abogados promedio y la mayor\u00eda de la gente asume que soy un gran fan\u00e1tico de los c\u00f3mics o que fue algo que uno de mis hijos pint\u00f3 para m\u00ed. Tampoco es cierto. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fue pintado por alguien que me recuerda cuando era un ni\u00f1o peque\u00f1o que crec\u00eda en Hamilton. Cuando era un ni\u00f1o peque\u00f1o y mi mam\u00e1 nos llevaba a m\u00ed y a mis hermanos por la ciudad, siempre ve\u00edamos a un chico interesante montando su bicicleta. Lo que nos llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n cuando \u00e9ramos ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os era que \u00e9l y su bicicleta ten\u00edan animales de peluche por todas partes. Entonces no sab\u00edamos su nombre y simplemente lo llam\u00e1bamos el hombre del animal de peluche. Sentados en el asiento trasero, lo vigil\u00e1bamos y nos anunci\u00e1bamos \u201coye, es el hombre del animal de peluche\u201d si lo ve\u00edamos. Mientras pas\u00e1bamos, volv\u00edamos la cabeza para tratar de ver qu\u00e9 personajes de dibujos animados ten\u00eda ese d\u00eda. Siempre est\u00e1bamos felices cuando lo ve\u00edamos.<\/p>\n

Cuando crec\u00ed, descubr\u00ed que su nombre era Frank \u201cFrankie\u201d Prickett y que no \u00e9ramos los \u00fanicos ni\u00f1os que hab\u00edan crecido observ\u00e1ndolo desde el asiento trasero del auto de sus padres. Creo que es justo decir que si vivieras en Hamilton lo conocer\u00edas. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de ser conocido por sus animales de peluche, Frankie era un artista al que le encantaba hacer dibujos de personajes de dibujos animados famosos. En 2013, vi un art\u00edculo de Journal News<\/a><\/em> sobre c\u00f3mo hab\u00eda fallecido Frankie. Fue uno de esos momentos extra\u00f1os en la vida cuando muere alguien que realmente no conoc\u00edas bien pero al mismo tiempo se lleva un poco de tu infancia con ellos. Me siento muy afortunado de haber podido comprar estas pinturas, son como tesoros que solo un hamiltoniano entender\u00eda.<\/p>\n
